Mike Bloomberg 2020 — Assembly Media Buyout Case Study
Assembly supported one of the most ambitious political advertising efforts ever—the $490M+ Mike Bloomberg 2020 media buy, spanning 177 markets, 3,085 outlets, and thousands of creative executions across TV, digital, radio, newspaper, and OOH. My role was to transform this massive operation into a clear, persuasive, and beautifully structured media report and creative narrative that documented the strategy, scale, and outcomes of the campaign.
-
I led creative direction and design across multiple campaign media reports, building the visual identity systems, layouts, and all data visualizations. I streamlined complex media strategy into clear narratives and partnered closely with Media, Strategy, Analytics, and Political teams to turn insights into cohesive, audience-friendly storytelling.
-
Adobe InDesign — primary layout + editorial design
Adobe Illustrator — data visualizations, charts, iconography
Photoshop — photo corrections and compositing
Keynote — collaborative reviews and modular system development
Google Sheets / Analytics outputs — data cleanup and visualization preparation

I learned how to transform massive political data sets into simple, compelling narratives, create modular systems that scale across fast-moving campaigns, and adapt to the rapid shifts of political media. The work reinforced the importance of pairing human storytelling with strong performance metrics.
